Wynonna Jean Judd is an American country music singer, songwriter, actress and record-producer. She started her career singing in bars around Nashville, Tennessee before signing a recording contract with Curb Records in 1986. In the mid-1990s, she released a string of number one albums and singles for the label, including "Wynonna," "The One and Only," and "Stoned" which all won the Country Music Association's Female Vocalist of the Year award. In 2002, Judd signed to Lyric Street Records and produced both a new album, "Not Nearly as Far," and the compilation album "Wynonna Judd." In 2003 she released her fourth studio album, "Beautiful People," which became her third consecutive platinum-selling album and earned her fifth consecutive Top 10 hit on Billboard's country album chart. The following year she released her fifth studio album "Here I Am," which sold more than 800,000 copies in its first week and debuted at number one on Billboard's Top Country Albums Chart. Since 2004, she has been working on her seventh studio album.
